Riding Lessons

We offer lessons to children from the age of 8 years old to adults. We cater for beginners to advanced riders. All children start on a private lesson so they may become familiar with the pony and the technique at their own pace. According to their ability they will join a group lesson after 2 or 3 private lessons. There is a maximum of 8 students per lesson. Lessons are kept interesting and fun, doing different things each week. 

Mary Leonards Riding School is a family run equestrian centre. We are located 3km from Newcastle West, Co Limerick.

Summer Pony Camps

Our pony camps are run every July. Each camp is 3 days and starts at 9am to 3.30pm.

Stable Management, grooming, tacking up, pony club games, cross country, showjumping, treasure hunts, dressage, trekking are some of the activities we enjoy during the camps.

Foreign Student Riding and Learning English Holidays 

Every Summer we run  these camps giving visitors an opportunity to enjoy learning English through their passion Horses. Our students spend the day from 9am to 4pm on the farm riding, working in the stables, hands on taking care of the ponies and a fun English class. Home stays available, where our students can experience living with an Irish family and improve their English.
